Embrium Live on KEXP: A Day We'll Never Forget
Embrium with KEXP host of Seek & Destroy, Tanner Ellison.
The Session
On April 9th, KEXP premiered our live studio session recorded February 20th in Seattle. We performed three songs: Hyperion, Eclipse, and The Witchening, and the full performance is below.
How It Happened
KEXP found us on Reddit and reached out to see if we wanted to perform on KEXP the morning of our tour date in Seattle during the Glacial Ascension Tour. We said yes and figured out the rest later. :)
The Day Itself
"Later" meant driving up from Portland the morning of the session, arriving at KEXP with just enough time to set up and play. The crew took exceptional care of us -- private green room, dressing room, ran the set twice, got photos taken. Then we packed out, drove straight to Substation for our tour date that night, and barely made load-in in time to open the show. One of the most intense days we've had as a band.

The Team Behind It
Thank you to host Tanner Ellison, audio engineer Kevin Suggs, mastering engineer Matt Ogaz, and the full camera and editing crew: Jim Bennett, Carlos Cruz, Leah Franks, Scott Holpainen, and Ettie Wahl. And finally, thank you to Jim Beckmann for making this all happen.
